| Fomento presently exports 1.2 million
tons per year, nearly 6 % of India's annual iron ore exports. Japan is our main customer.
Shipments have also been effected to Romainia, DPR Korea and Pakistan and the company is
now a large exporter to China, a rapidly developing market. M.V. 'Pacific Jasmin', with a DWT of 140,000 M/T is one of the largest ships fitted with grabs. She makes an average five voyages per year exclusively for FOMENTO, carrying over 750,000 tons of processed ore to Japan. As a result of our excellence in exports, we were honoured with the Confederation of Exports Units (CEU) Award, underlining our contribution to the Nations economy.
